Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This policy describes what BestDealSnag actually collects and does today. We have deliberately kept it specific rather than generic, and we have not listed practices we do not have.

Who we are

BestDealSnag (“we”, “us”) operates bestdealsnag.com, a deal-discovery and product-comparison website. We are the controller of the personal information described below. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

1. Information you give us directly

If you submit the interest form on our home page, we store:

We also keep a record of that request so we can understand what shoppers are asking for and whether our catalogue can answer it. That record contains the same information you submitted.

You only give us this if you choose to fill in the form. You can browse and search the entire site without submitting anything.

2. Anonymous affiliate-click events

When you click through to a merchant, we record an anonymous event so we can understand which products and merchants are useful to people. That event contains only:

This event does not include your IP address, any cookie, any account or device identifier, any browser fingerprint, or your location. It records that someone clicked toward a product — never who.

3. Campaign labels

If you reach us through a marketing link containing campaign parameters in the address (for example utm_source or utm_campaign), we keep that label in your browser’s session storage for the duration of your visit and attach it to the anonymous click events above. It tells us which campaign brought a visit; it says nothing about you. It is cleared when you close the tab.

4. Hosting and security records

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare. As part of delivering and protecting the site, Cloudflare processes technical request information such as IP addresses. We use this only for security and reliability, in line with Cloudflare’s own processing.

5. Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they use, and whether pages load properly. It is enabled at the Cloudflare network level for this domain.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-first product. According to Cloudflare, it does not use cookies or any other client-side storage, it does not fingerprint individual visitors, and it does not track you across other websites. There is no advertising identifier involved, and nothing it collects is used to build a profile of you.

What it measures is aggregate and limited to:

We use this to see whether the site is useful and fast, and which pages are worth improving. We cannot identify you from it, and we do not attempt to.

What we do not do

Why we use it

When you click through to a merchant

Following a link to a retailer takes you to a third party we do not control. The affiliate network and the merchant will typically set their own cookies to attribute the referral, and their own privacy policies apply from that point. We have no visibility into what you do on their site, what you buy, or what you pay.

How long we keep it

We keep interest submissions until you ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer useful for the purpose above. Anonymous click events are retained as aggregate performance history and are not linked to any person.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we will action it. Because the only personal information we hold is what you typed into our form, this is usually straightforward. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not quietly add tracking and leave this page saying otherwise.
